PATCHWORK OF POSSBILITIES
The Patchwork of Possibilities is a fund-raiser for the Grand Forks area Women's Fund and a means of honoring the role women play in our community and region by displaying quilted works
in public spaces.
The theme of these quilts was "Women: Her Shoes." Quilts were chosen for the project because quilting is traditionally a women's art form, symbolic of warmth, comfort, and protection.
These quilts were designed, pieced, and quilted by local quilters, many from North Star Quilters Guild members.
The quilts were purchased by local businesses and presented in March 2007. They have been on display at the businesses that purchased them from May-September 2007.
